A wonderful treat

Remember how I asked my manager NOT to do any kind of going away party when I got laid off? And she didn't and I was grateful.

Tonight was much better. Susan, the office manager, had sent me a note asking if we could get together for lunch tomorrow. I told her no that I couldn't get back here for lunch. But, I said, why don' t we meet for a quick drink? She said great. So I got off the bus and walked on over to the old office where I find out that a bunch of my good buddies there found out she was meeting me and asked to tag along.

It was so much fun to catch up and so very flattering that they wanted to come visit. It was me and Susan and the boys. And we had a ball. What a fun thing. Good drinks, good munchies, good hugs and great company.
