This and That
Apr. 11th, 2008 10:52 amNo word from the car folks. I could call them and ask, but it really doesn't matter. If it did, I would, but it doesn't. If I don't get the car back today, it will be next week and that's fine. I have the luxury of really not needing a car much and I should enjoy that luxury so I will.

But I do need cooking oil and lemons and maybe bananas so at trip across the way to the Japanese grocery is in the plans for today. After lunch, though, cause that will be cheaper.

The Dali Lama is coming to my 'front yard' tomorrow. Big rally in the football stadium. It should be some major good viewing off the terrace. Thankfully the leaves are still tiny on The Tree That I Hate so I'll be able to catch the action.

I need to unhook the new modem and move it and then reorganize the cables and hook it back up again. With all the extra ethernet ports on the thing, I'm going to wire up a few of the previously wireless elements.

Then my next big project is going to be to toss out all manuals. When
teasdale griped about not being able to see the small print in her cellphone manual, I suggested she get the PDF version from the website. You can set the typesize any way you want and you have an excellent search function.
I've been doing this for a while. I have a folder in Public called Manuals - I can get to it easily from any of my computers. I've taken all the downloaded manuals and renamed them for easy pickings. But, I haven't been religious about it.
Now I need take it to the next level if you will. I need to go through the house and get all the manuals and find their PDFs and toss the paper.
