Ahhhh it's OPEN!!!

Today's walk was way special. It was The First Official Krispy Kreme Walk. We took a 4 mile circuitous route and ended up there. The Hot signs were lit and it was glorious. It wasn't crowded and we could walk around and see everything and take a few pix .

Besides the donuts we ate (with cold milk - yum!), I got a coffee mug and a special opening day t-shirt. This is on the front:

I brought home the rest of the dozen that we did not eat. In case I need one later.

In fairness, this one is located where there is very little traffic on the weekend UNLESS there is a baseball or football game. During the week, there is lots of traffic. AND this is the third Krispy Kreme store in the area. The first one had long long lines for months.

And... they were handing out samples this morning but mainly to the kids. Lee was pissed.

Hmmm . . subtle way of telling us there was only ONE left out of that yummy dozen?!?! I'm feeling green-eyed envy to the very depths of my damned diet!! Seriously, glad you had such a good time and I'm going to assume you consumed one on my sugar-starved behalf!

Thanks... My favorite is to slice them in half (ala bagel), butter and toast. Way yum!
