When hording is smart...
Apr. 26th, 2008 03:12 pmI'm a big fan of dressing/stuffing whatever you want to call it. And, I'm particular. My all time favorite starts with a base of Pepperidge Farm Cornbread Stuffing mix. Around here the only time you can get it is November and December. Last November and December, I stocked up. I mean, heck, it's not like it's going to spoil or take up freezer space!
Just now my turkey boob is in the oven. Freezer to oven. Plus, when I opened it up, I found a pouch of gravy AND a $2 off coupon. This is good.
My stuffing is all made (celery, onion, lots of butter and lots of chicken broth and two eggs mixed in with two bags of stuffing mix). Once it's baked up, I'll shovel the leftovers into single servings and freeze. It is a breeze to re-bake or nuke and I love the stuff. It will join the turkey in the oven at 4. And, I suspect by that time this house will smell heavenly.
Wonder if the Macy's Parade is on? hahahah

I ordered another pair of bifocals from the cheap online eyeglasses place and this time I got the progressive ones - no line. I like the no line much better.

My friend,
machupicchu got two new kittens today and he's a much better kitten photographer than I was with Travis. Shanti and Guru are pretty adorable. Oh and happy birthweek, Matthew!

The Supercross crowd has the parking lot packed with all kinds of Supercross stuff. It's very colorful and not nearly as loud as some events but also it's cool enough out to have my doors closed. The sound of reving engines does get old after a while.

Time to start a new bear and do some TiVo catch up. With the network airing new episodes and baseball every day, my TiVos are getting a leeeetle constipated.
