AHhh Just a nice day

Work was very busy - a good busy. The web pages I have been working on will be 'live' to the public later this week. Fun. And, I got out at 3. The bus that leaves at 3 takes a good third less time to get home than the one that leaves at 4. Nice.

It was unseasonably warm here today. We had a meeting outside this afternoon on a patio near a fountain. The sun was glaring and between the birds, the traffic and the fountain, I couldn't hear a thing that was said. Ahhh the wonderful outdoors!

I'm still sucked into The Shield. I've got one episode left in Season 2 on DVD. I have three Season 3 episodes on Tivo. Then I'm caught up. Sigh. Nip/Tuck starts rerunning the first season this week as a prelude to Season 2 which starts in June.

But, soon... a week from Wednesday actually baseball, will be on TV nearly every night. I can handle that.

And, appropos of nothing, I saw yesterday that 25% of Americans have never been on the internet. I cannot get that out of my mind. I also cannot figure out if I'm more surprised it's so high or more surprised it's so low.

Do you recommend Nip/Tuck? I get easily squicked by needles and stuff like that so I have avoided it, but if it is good I might try it.

Nip/Tuck is GREAT!!! There is guts and gore in the surgery scenes so maybe you could tape it and fast forward through those parts?

You maybe should try the first episode - it's this week, I think. If you can get by the squicked parts, you'll be sucked right in.

My daughter's computer has gone blooey. I asked her if she had friends with computers, so she could go to bootdisk.com and make a boot disk, and she said no. She's been dating a guy in his forties and I asked if he had a computer and she said no. Sometimes when I hear this about others it draws me up short, but mostly I am aware that I am luckier than a lot of people to have enough money and time to explore this world as much as I want.
