The bits du jour so far

susandennisTravis and I enjoyed our Monday morning stay in bed and snuggle. He's so huge now. It's hard to remember when I was afraid I was going to roll over and squish him. Now I worry about his squishing me!

For some reason about six months ago, most of the delivery guys - DHL, UPS, FedEx (all 3 flavors) - quit delivering through the front door. They all started going to the back. Scott (building manager) says it's because it's easier for them to park.
But, it presents me with a real hardship. We have no Front Door TV Network tuned to the back! So I can't see when my packages arrive. They do not deliver up here. They deliver to a package closet in the garage.
So I am dependant on their websites, most of which, have gotten very good and current with updates.
Today I have one package coming on on FedEx and one on UPS. Refresh/reload/refresh/reload...

I have finally settled on a seeing solution. I've gone back to my one contact which enables me to see 80% of the stuff I need to see - even on the computer. Like now. For the other 20% of the time, I wear the prescription I invented which magnifies the non-contact eye a lot and the contact eye a little. I'm sure that mean, hateful eye doctor would be horrified. But, it's working fine for me.
I'm going to be pissed if I find out in 20 years that it has ruined my eyes but then I'll be pretty annoyed at being alive, likely, in 20 years so what's another thing to be pissed about??

It's a lovely cool and cloudy day today. No rain and a nice little breeze.

Weeds Season 3 comes out on DVD today. And I forgot to ensure I had one returned to get in on the first wave. Now it will probably go into wait state and I won't see it for a month. Oh well, I've waited this long...

Work is quiet as a church mouse right now and will, probably about the time my two deliveries arrive, barrel in like a raging inferno. Oh well.
