The only thing I didn't get with my new radio was a CD changer. Turns out that is a huge non-issue. I don't have many CD's. I do have a lot of mp3's. The SD card reader has a 2G limit. But, it turns out that if you stick a 4G (or higher) card into a USB reader and plug that in to the handy USB port on the front of the radio, you can listen for hours without moving a muscle...

Happily the operation is all intuitive because the manual is only really good for a laugh.

"This device only support SD card up to 2G. If it is a SD card with USB connecting to the device, then 2G limit is not existed."

I am really loving this radio. I will stop talking about it but that may be a couple of days off yet.

It looks like the stick on wheel casters that have eluded me are now on their way. I just got a 'your order has shipped' email from the last place I ordered them from. Whew.

Roomba's new brains arrive today. I'll be interested to see the difference. One of the new features of this 500 series over the earlier models was modularization. Brain swapping. Much nicer than total replacement.

The air conditioner is keeping me nice and cool while the sun is still attacking. I should be able to turn it off in about an hour and have the house just as comfortable for the entire rest of the day. The weather people are promising a scorcher this weekend.

I have a Money Market account at Capital One. Back in the day (last year) it paid a handsome little interest rate. Now it begrudging forks over a paltry 2.9%. My Costco magazine alerted me to their new high interest Money Market account - also at Capital one. 3.2% and $50 for signing up. So I followed the links and signed up and was then asked how I wanted to add starter funds to the new account... One of the options was my other Capital One account so I just selected it and moved every penny over to the new one. Easy peasy! All of the account features (transfer to and from my credit union accounts) worked immediately. Nice. (oops just checked the fine print and I think the $50 is not going to happen. oh well, I'm cool with the higher interest rate.)

On the ugly side of money matters, I got a notice from Discard that they are changing my account number and send me a new card. I have that number attached to a bascillion and a half places. I was already dreading the expiration date of 2/09. Now it looks like I will get to feel the pain sooner. They better give me an extended expiration date.

No work so far today. I have really enjoyed these past couple of days - getting stuff done that I have not been able to get to for weeks. It's nice to feel organized and put together. Next thing on my hit parade is changing the sheets on the bed. I'm off to do that right now!
