My work laptop is rarely unplugged. Yesterday I decided to unplug it and see how long the battery lasts. 3 year old Toshiba. Battery went to 5% in 28 minutes. I think we call that UPS. Geesh. Good thing I don't really need it to operate it unplugged.
Right this minute, I'm running the same test on my Lifebook. It has run unplugged some. Right now it says it has 3 hours left.

Seattle's summer isn't long. Usually you can only count on July and August for hot weather. But, we have double the number of event planners and they think that July and August are each 8 weeks long. There are a bascillion different major things going on this weekend all over town and the surrounding areas.
I live in Pioneer Square which is having their annual Fire Festival - lots of lovely looking firefighters on display... And next door is the International District and they are having their annual festival - dragons and firecrackers and drums and all manner of wonderful, colorful stuff.
My plans are to wander over to the Fire Festival. I may also do the International District but it tends to be way too crowded so I might blow it off. I need a few groceries and the Japanese market will be way too packed to even attempt it so I'll probably nip out in the car. The Mariners are playing in Kansas City so no traffic to fight.

My Rosie date is in an hour so I'm just futzing around now.
