Retail Therapy

susandennisAfter my shower this morning, I decided to go do errands. I had a list of stuff to look for and I wanted to peruse the Back to School supplies before they got all picked to death. So out I went. It was painless and nice and I sated my retail therapy needs without even spending too much money. I got a little of this and a little of that and did not get a whole lot of stuff.
I need steak but I ran out of steam before I could get to either of my two best steak options. I think I'll just do without probably until next week. I have pork chops. And Stouffers.
In the mail when I got home was a Barnes & Noble gift card from one of my clients! I've worked on her project in one way or another for 3 years. For a lot of different reasons, I begged off the project. My boss agreed but has taken a really long time finding a replacement. He finally sealed the deal this past week and the client (the one who contracts with my company to have the work done) sent me a lovely thank you note for all my work and the gift card. What a classy thing for her to do.
The Seahawks are having or had a practice kind of something at the stadium today. The 'hood is full of people in Seahawks gear and the marching drum people are making all kinds of noise. I can't see the action but I can hear it. It's slowing down as I type this so maybe it's over. The Mariners are home for their game tonight.
It's a lovely still kind of cool day. The weather people are promising that tomorrow the heat goes back on. I might just take advantage of the last cool day and wander up to the International District for dinner tonight. Maybe. Right now I'm just interested in sitting for a bit.
