susandennisScott, the building manager, is cleaning and fixing up and painting the garage.
Which does not need it, but since I am not part of the decision making process and refuse to be, is not something I am allowed to complain about...
This means that for three days, my car can not use my parking space in the garage during the day. Pain in the ass. I could have foraged for a free spot somewhere around here but the idea of doing that for three days was not appealing plus, if I wanted to use it, I'd have to reforage when the worker bees were here scarfing up the few free spots. So I paid $30 for three days in the lot across the street - with in and out privileges.

And I used those privileges this morning to get my hair cut. My concept was much off the lower back and sides and short bangs and kind of leave the rest. Her concept was short all over. She had the tools so we went with her concept. Her English is not that good but far better than my Vietnamese. We don't converse well but she has a beautiful aquarium and it's just too easy and cheap to even consider somewhere else. And I like the short all over. History tells me that it will grow back.

We are having 2 or 3 record breakingly hot days. Short hair is good. I also went to Costco and got coffee. I'm now a self sustaining island centered around my beloved air conditioner. At least Travis will be happy.

My beloved air conditioner has an on/off switch BUT any controlling of the features requires the remote. This morning I woke up and the remote was dead. I fed it new batteries and it would not come back to life. I reseated them. I cursed. I begged. I fiddled. I banged it. I jiggled. Finally it gave up and worked again. I think it just knew how desperate I was.

I slept straight through the night again last night. Freaky. That mouth guard is pretty amazing.

My wonderful Mariners announcer, Mike Blowers, has been missing from the last two ballgames. I'm hoping he's just been on a little mini vacation but there was no mention of his not being there and usually they will say 'so and so is off for today but will be back... ' I'm a little worried.
The Mariners won last night in the 12th. It was kind of a fun game. The main hero of the game could be gone to another team via waivers this week. Sigh. This has just been one ugly ugly ugly baseball year.
