What a lovely evening!  I wandered downtown and did a few errands and then ended up at PF Chang's which I had always wanted to try.  It was actually great.  Then on to the movie.

Shobhit and [livejournal.com profile] machupicchu showed up right when and where they said they would and in we went.  We sat down towards the front so I could not see how big the crowd was in back of us but I'm guessing not big.  I'd never been to a sing a long movie so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but it was fun.  As many reported, the movie itself was a disappointment, but with the singing it was great fun.  It probably would have been a bit funner if the theater had been full but it was still good.

A few years ago, the Seattle Mens Chorus did the Abba concert and it was so wonderful.  I only saw it once and have deeply regretted that I did not go back the very next night to see it again.

But my dream evening, I think, would be a giant Abba sing along of all their songs led by the SMC.  But, I am glad I went to the movie.

The theater is a 16 plex right downtown.  It's been there for at least a decade and, apparently, was last cleaned when it opened back ten.  I am not a germaphobe and honestly, if I can't see it, grime doesn't count but this place was gross.  The handrails were gummy, the floor was grimy and it was just gross.  I have not been inside a movie theater in a long time,  [livejournal.com profile] machupicchu allowed as how not all theaters are like this.

Outside across the street is the convention center where a giant gaming con was just wrapping up.  The block was knee deep in nerds.
