Tuesday. It's Tuesday...
Sep. 2nd, 2008 12:02 pmThe Front Door TV Network shows that my friend, Ann, who got a new knee not long ago has graduated from crutches to cane! Go Ann! I need to catch her when she comes back so we can dish about Beltre's hitting for the cycle in last night's game.

My new project is the Fujitsu Lifebook. I love that little thing and if something happened to it, I'd be very sad. And poor since none of the little cheap ones do everything that that one does - touch screen, etc. So I bought it a new battery and now I'm chasing down replacement software. I know that the whole kabootle of stuff that came with it is somewhere in a folder but I have yet to find that folder. I'm thinking it might be at the Goodwill swept up in one of my many raids. The drivers, I'm not so worried about - those I can probably download and thumbdrive into it.
But the OS... I have a bunch of copies of XP and even a spare copy of Vista but it does not have enough memory, really, to run Vista well and while the XP's would work, it needs Tablet. I have the Tablet product key so I might be able to sweet talk Microsoft out of a copy but I thought I'd start with an email to Fujitsu so that went out today.

I think it's amusing that the new Google Chrome imported all my settings from IE except my Google Toolbar.

I have a 2 hour conf call at 1. I need some lunch before then so I guess I'll do that now.
