I had not planned to get up early or even quickly this morning but the radio never did come on and I finally opened my eyes enough to see the clock and it was 7:45! Usually my eyes open at 6. They do close while I listen to NPR a while but I'm never unconscious until nearly 8!
Now I've killed another 2+ hours in bed playing on the computer and sipping my coffee.
Travis is under the quilt. I think that's a harbinger of the good cool times. It's what he did all last winter. Snuggled down to the end of the bed under the blanket. I've missed the lump. It's nice to have him back.
I just heard that the next begging week for NPR is the first week in October. I'm ready this time. Good PC speaker on the bedroom computer - online NPR. Nice.
Also the first week of October is the 1st anniversary of Travis' Landing at SDHQ.
Last night's baseball game was just outstanding. We beat the Yankees which is always good and particularly this time since they really needed the win and we used a new baby pitcher who was outstanding and our other players had several spectacular plays. It was really something. I'm almost afraid to watch tonight's game.
I think I should get up and go to the gym and do at least 20 brisk minutes of walking. Or go outside and do at least 20 minutes of brisk walking. I really have nothing on the agenda today and no good reason not to move except I am lazy.
I could do some laundry. I could take some of the trash down to the dumpsters. I might do stuff like that and I probably will watch the next DVD of The Wire.
I think I'm going with Everyone Deserves A Slacker Day and Even Though Most of My Days Are Slacker Days This One Really Is. So there.
