Monday, Monday...
Sep. 8th, 2008 10:27 amI can definitely feel my session with Nadia yesterday. We did a lot of work on arms and chest. A lot. Ouch. And something we did gave me tennis elbow in my right arm. Double ouch.

I woke up this morning to a flurry of work which rarely happens on Monday morning. Usually it takes an hour or so for everyone to kick in with stuff they want me to do. All's cool. I'm caught up for right now. I have two conference calls this afternoon. So it's not going to be a nothing day.

My condo overlooks the parking lot of the Seahawks stadium. (Well, it does when the stupid tree that blocks my view does not have leave on it.) For years there has been talk of a development replacing that parking lot. When I first bought the condo in 1992, the guy I was dating (who wanted me to move to Tacoma) found city documents that they were planning a high rise in the parking lot (one of his many arguments for my NOT buying the place).
But, now it looks like it may actually happen. The current plan is to develop half so that there will still be a half of parking lot in front of Qwest field but the other half of the parking lot will be mixed use residential/retail. Nice!! I'm all in favor.
I'd love to have apartments right across the way. One of the great joys of living in Manhattan was watching the other apartments! Plus, I'll have the best of all worlds - my terrace is right in the middle - to the left, I'll have the apartments and to the right I'll have the parking lot and stadium.
And... I'll be able to watch the construction for at least 6 months out of the year! I had a blast watching the stadium being built. That was when The Tree only came up to the 2nd floor and I was blissfully unaware fo the tragedy that would befall me in a few short years. But, I digress.
There's a neighborhood meeting tonight being put on by the developers. I'm looking forward to hearing the details.

It's not a hot hot day and does not portend to be so but... my terrace faces east and the sun is frying it. I have the blinds drawn and the A/C on. I have probably another 30 minutes of this treatment and then all will be fine again.

ooops, more work just in.
