susandennisI love living alone. I've lived by myself for 57.5 (ooops!*) of my years. There are really only two downsides. One is when you can't find something. What a luxury it would be to blame the loss on someone else.
The other is when it's time to turn the mattress. Happily I only have a double bed. A queen would be impossible, I think. Heck a double was impossible a couple of years ago. But, today I managed it - not easily - but the deed is done.
And, thanks, Travis, your sitting on top was really a help.

My fingernails had gotten so long that this morning, during my training session, I kept stabbing myself. Time to cut. I hate doing it because it's alway so hard to get them non-snaggy. It's also hard when Betty is right on top of my hands while I'm trying to cut.
Betty, how come you are so fascinated with my cutting my nails but the very idea of my cutting yours sends you on an all day hide???

I'm giving serious thought to rolling the air conditioner into its closet for the winter today. It's still a little warm here inside so I'm trying the fan only. Maybe I can get by with just the fan until the building cools down. That would be nice. Much as I love what the air conditioner does, I really like it better when I can't see it.

machupicchu is paying attention as usual! Not 57.5. Let's see. I'm now 59.5. I lived with my parents for 18 years. And then had roommates on and off for the next 4 years. Then lived with my poor husband for 2 years. So, let's call it 37.5 years.
