The this 'n that bits
Sep. 23rd, 2008 10:34 amCooler weather has flipped a switch in Travis' brain and Betty's infected, too. Between 4 and 5 each morning, they are doing heavy duty training for Olympic sprints. This condo is kind of like a shotgun house. There is one long hallway running from the front door all the way to the terrace (probably 60 yards).
Betty takes the entire run straight at top speed. Travis, ever the showoff, runs from the front door, across my bed (and moi) and then to the terrace and back - stopping (and stomping) on me both ways. Top freakin' speed, I'm telling you!
Then, Betty finds her blanket and naps from 5 am to about 3:30 when she comes over and starts begging for dinner.
Travis crawls under the quilt. He does not care if I'm in the bed or not, or if I want to make the bed or not.
It's really pretty funny. It's like I have two sets of cats. A winter set and a summer set.
It just dawned on me that Travis will have been here one year a week from Friday.

Last week I had a lovely entry about my tribulations over my Sprint bill. Today, I get a lovely comment from a Sprint person giving me a direct email and an invitation for help!! I am more than a little impressed.
---
I have a black toe. I just noticed it this morning. The pinky toe on my right foot. It's partially black right at the joint. I tried like heck to wash it off. Nothing doing. It does not hurt. It isn't numb. It feels fine so I'm thinking it's probably not fatal.
BUT, I watch entirely too many episodes of Mystery Diagnosis so I am noting the black toe here in case it is the first clue in my eventual demise.
I'll status this closely. (If I were the polling kind, I'd create one to gather the cringe numbers on that sentence.)
---
It's Tuesday. Fried chicken from the lunch wagon in less than an hour. Let's see if it really was that good or if I was just imaginating.
