susandennisI was sitting here fixing up my knitting pictures (finally finished getting them all!) when Ann (from down the hall) came in to say hi. We were chatting about this and that and I remembered to ask her opinion about my living room change ideas.
Ann has marvelous taste in all things. I wanted to move one cabinet from the hallway to a small niche. But then what to do with the plant stand and plant in that niche, and what to do with the presto logs I was hiding under the stand, etc.
She took one look at the situation and sussed it all out immediately. And said, 'Want some help? I'll help. Let's do it now!'
So we did!
Then it turned out that a mobile my friend, John, brought me back from Japan was too low for the cabinet but too high up for us to reach to fix. So Ann insisted on getting Ron (her husband) and his ladder. Then it turned out his ladder was too short and he went all the way down to the garage to borrow Scott's bigger ladder and came up and fixed the mobile perfectly.
I remembered a jute basket, perfect for the pesto logs. The table and plant found a new home behind the couch.
Everything got swapped out and it looks great! Mainly the feeling you get from the front door is better because the cabinet was really in the way - much better phung shwey.
I told them they could claim Best Neighbors of The Week. They said they'd send Ron down with a computer question to even the score and I know they will and it's find because he knows very little about computers but has a gentle, nice way of asking for help and receiving it.
All is good. I like my new space. Now back to the fish pictures.
