Tuesday ramblings...

susandennisLast night I watched the Tekzilla update and learned about a Vista thing that will tell you how your system is operating. My one Vista machine - the one I use for a faux server - hasn't really been doing that well and so I fired up the checker and it told me I needed more memory. I knew the thing was not fully loaded but I thought for sure it had at least 2 MB's. Nope. 1. What in the heck was my brother thinking??? He's never totally bought into my no such thing as too much memory or too many USB ports but really, 1 mb??? At my age???
He's sending 3 more today. Whew. That will mean I will need to get under the desk and open up this baby. I have not been inside it ever. Just plugged it in and let 'er rip. Should be interesting. I know it will be happier.

I'm the first to bitch so I need to do some unbitching.
FedEx. FedEx is really three different delivery companies and they all operate fairly independently sharing only their collective suckage. But, lately - the last six months or so - I've noticed that they have sucked less. I have not had any problems with non-delivery. And, they usually get here before 9:30. Impressive. Their former suckage prevented my ordering anything from Woot. I may have to reconsider. Like I need more shit. Oh well.
Sprint. I have had occasion to call Sprint several times recently and various sections of Sprint. And, while the calls were not perfect in every way, the experience was a lot better than I remembered every time. And then I read that it's not my imagination... Their CSR response time moves them to the top slot.
I like this kind of change. A lot.
