susandennisIn past election years, my phone has rung off the hook. I usually don't even answer it starting in September. (Oh heck, who am I kidding... I haven't answered it for a caller the caller ID didn't know since I first got caller ID but, I digress.)
But this year it hasn't rung. Well, once, the other night and it startled me so that I answered it. I got the dead air that is the prologue to an automated call and hung up before I heard who was calling so it could have been political - or not.

davmoo just wrote about his state outlawing automated political calls... I don't think Washington has done that. Heck, one of the startups I worked for developed automated calling software (and, yeah, I always felt dirty working there) and they are still in business and growing it looks like.
Maybe it's personal. But, you'd think with everyone giving up their land lines they'd be happy to have a land line like mine to call! Bastards. That's it. They are so not getting ANYTHING from me - not even a card - for Christmas.
