Good day after all
May. 12th, 2004 02:44 pmMy day looked a little boring at the beginning but it picked up quite nicely, thank you. A couple of interesting projects and a really nice lunch.
Monica, Gail and I all worked together about 6 years ago. The three of us hadn't gotten together since then. It was fun playing 'what ever happened to???'
The one that really set me back was Gabe. Six years ago Gabe was a kid. Whacked off hair, pierced everything, shared a different apartment every month with a different set of bizzare roommates and really fun and interesting. And even though I was, at the time, older than dirt, he thought I was funky. He was always hot for Bus Girl. Bus Girl was whatever cute chick was on the bus that morning. Sometimes Bus Girl was the same person for a week and sometimes for a day. But every day Gabe had at least one great Bus Girl story.
Gail says that Gabe has a normal haircut, no piercings anywhere, is married to a great woman and has a house in one of the most normal neighborhoods in Seattle. I'm shocked and appalled. She did say, however, that the woman he married, he actually met through Bus Girl. So I guess that's something.
Now it's time to head off for the bus, another trip home and another losing ballgame. The losing is actually getting a little easier. Last night, Minnesota played like crap. We were ahead 6-1 going into the 8th inning. But, that didn't stop us. We managed to lose the game 7-6.
