And, speaking of Netflix.... Here's my Netflix Life. The first list is stuff that is in my queue in order. The next list is stuff that is in my queue that has not actually come out yet. And the third list is the stuff I've rented. So there you have it.

I'm not a movie buff. I am not a discriminating viewer. I'm not even sure what makes a good movie. I'm the cliche for movies. I like what I like. I don't go to movie theaters so this is my movie life. I try to watch at least 15 minutes of every movie. If I'm not sucked in after 15 minutes, I move on to the next one.

Wonder Boys (adore Robert Downey, Jr - so this is a given)
East Is East - very good flick
25th Hour - I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would
Gosford Park - kind of a fun "who done it" movie
Election - crackling wit and satire - excellet!
My First Mister - David and I both raved over this film, we loved it!
Amelie - another film that David and I both just loved - in fact David bought me the soundtrack!
Wilde - what's not to love?
Minority Report - from my top ten from that year

Owning Mahowny - PHS is soooo good in this film

Oh, Amy's O -- I tried to watch this because the premise looked amusing, but then discovered the "leading man" was a guy who'd played a profoundly disturbed serial killer in an episode of The X-Files. Not even my well developed ability to suspend disbelief could overcome that hurdle when it came to thinking of him as a romantic lead . . . but it was a pretty funny attempt =)

I liked Love Actually, but perhaps I already said that?
Lost in translation is one I might buy, I think it achieved its aims.
I did buy Minority Report, I enjoyed watching it from time to time.
I enjoyed Calendar Girls but then I have an aunt who was a mayor in that area of England.
Y Tu Mama Tambien is one I really need to see.
No Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings? ;-)

I make no comment on the ones I haven't commented on, I just don't know the vast majority.

What did you think of Billy Elliot? I was brought up near there and just after it was set, I thought the swearing was over the top, mostly people in the northeast aren't quite that profane.

I do not remember swearing in Billy Elliot! Wild. Probably just lost in my having to 'translate' the accent. I remember liking the movie fairly well.
