I went to a neat class today. I generally have no patience with any kind of training. I think, deep down inside, I resent that the world now must know that I don't know something. I was not looking forward to this class and it was only 2 hours long. But, it turned out to be fine. The pace was good. The material interesting and something I need to know. The instructor was not condescending, in a hurry or too pokey. Sometimes you get luck and today I got lucky and I got a yoyo... for filing out my evaluation sheet.

The Mariners are back in town through Sunday. It would be nice if they would win, but I think I've mentioned that before.

On Saturday, when my cleaning people are cleaning, I'm going to meet my friend, Susan from my last job, for lunch. She says that if we don't get together soon, she'll forget some of the good poop she's been saving to tell me. I cannot allow that. So Costco will just have to wait.

Netflix is sending me Calendar Girls.

I am reading that book about Diana that her butler wrote. It is deliciously interesting so far. Last night I got detail on the underpinnings of the royal household staff and the queen's dogs like [livejournal.com profile] cloverbee has. I have no idea how much of the book is true but it is thick and so far it puts the D in dish.

I read that book by Diana's butler too. Great dirt! I loved it!

It always amuses me that the UK seems to follow matters US presidential with great interest (well it was Bill Clinton last time I lived there) and the US seems besotted with the monarchy. Perhaps we should swap? Curious George would get on very well with Tony "the poodle" Blair and HRH would have a load more charities to visit and shops to open.

At least the US treated Fergie better than the UK, the press in Britain are like rabid dogs whenever they see any sign of weakness. I've always though Diana encouraged Fergie to get divorced to see what would happen, when nothing exploded she tried it herself. That would account for how Fergie and Randy Andy still live in the same house, though now they are officially separated there's nothing the press can do about it.

So did you enjoy Love Actually? I thought the cops singing was a great surprise. Loved the house keeper in Portugal (wasn't it?). Oh and the best friend who always ignored the girl, do girls really not understand that.

So do you watch stupid comedy? Johnny English was an excellent example of the genre.
