I like my job and I like working. I'm not really looking forward to my upcoming forced vacation in July when my current contract runs out. But, all of that does not diminish the delight in a 3 day weekend. It's like a gift you really really wanted and did not expect to receive. I woke up this morning knowing I had two full days of leisure, baseball, knitting, tv, movies, whatever... It was a treat to wake up to.

Today's was a shortish walk. The breeze was stiff about half the time but when it died, it got hot quickly. So I finally just came on home. I need eggs and something else I can't remember so I'll take another jaunt over to the Japanese grocery this afternoon.

Game at 11. For some reason, whether they win or lose, the Mariners always play good baseball in Boston. It is, however, just a speck more fun when they win.

Well , we had that game won and then some good playing by the Mariners took the win away ruining Foulke's thus far perfect record. However, all's well that ends well and the RedSox are back in first place.

We did make it interesting, tho, didn't we. Thanks for some good games. I just realized that that is it for Boston games this year. Wow. I'm sorry about that.

Yep, so are we. We like to watch the Mariners play, and that Friday game was the only one on our season series, and I traded it away to the guy in the next-door seats in exchange for extra seats for the Phillies game.
