Ok, many of you may have wondered how old you have to be before you are free from skinned knees. I don't know but I do know that it's possible at 55 years of age.

If you think this stings like a sonofabitch you are 100% correct.

On the up side, I did not twist any ankles or break any hips and I gave it a good bounce. Any osteoporosis I may have seems to be holding off quite nicely. But is sure stings!!

Damn, OUCH!!

Have a couple of drinks.

I feel as dense as a box of rocks.

I'll have to knock on wood, I didn't fall on ice once this winter. Usually I fall a good number of times - all to my chagrine.

The picture looks like the scrape definitely hurts.

Then where the box of dumb rocks comes in? I re-read twice the part about being 55. I thought "what?" Did I miss something? You look ultra young in your icon picture - I would not have said 55 at all. So I click on your info page and check the "what to know" section. I really did not know that you were let go about the same time I was. Talk about feeling dumb. Argh.

I suggest aloe for the scrape.

Susan

I have way too many "duh" moments. David accuses me of bumping into "non-existent" items in our apartment. I don't know how I do it, but if there's something to bump into, I'll do it. As for tripping over thin air, been there. Err. I tend to look down (and this is just a Minnesota adjustment) walking on our sidewalks, they are uneven (very!) and I've tripped over the ridges.

Hope the cream takes the sting away!

Arghhhhh! *winces*

Neosporin. That stuff is magical. Crushed dogwood leaves are healing, too.

Well ouch! Don't do that again. Glad you're (relatively) ok - what happened?

Awwwww Susan. That screams "sting" :(

Poor dear. Hope it heals fast. You need a good long spray of Bactine! Wonder if they still make that?

That does look nasty. Glad it was not any worse. Like gravel or glass ground in.

Trust me, I know your pain, sistah. I seem to trip on air all the time myself.

FWIW, Bactine is still on the market.:) As is my mother's all-time favorite owie cure-all mercurochrome. Ya know, the reddish-orange stuff that doesn't sting like iodine? The cool part is that it's now available without the red coloring--mercuroclear! That stuff is da bomb for taking the sting out of paper cuts and hang nails.
