Good Hair Day
Jul. 31st, 2002 07:49 amI'm 53 years old and I've had maybe 4 good hair days in my entire life and today is one of them. In the middle of last May I got a hair cut. The place I go is wonderful but they never believe me when I say 'short'. This time the woman believed me. It was short. Really short. But, what that meant to me was less time with the blow dryer and more time before the next haircut. Haircuts are getting frighteningly expensive - seems like for that much money they should give you something and not take something away - plus I hate sitting there trying to make small talk.
Anyway... I haven't been back to get it cut in the 11 weeks since the last cut. I did a little self triming around the font about a month ago. But otherwise, I've just let it go and it's looking pretty darned good. Of course, waiting 11 weeks for a haircut to come into it's own takes more planning skills than I possess. So I'll just enjoy today.

Like a pleasant day in January on the north pole, they can be so rare.
