bugs and yuck and nice cool stuff

susandennisAt work, we've been redesigning/deving/etc-ing a very large website. Today was the day when they ask a giant crowd of people to click through all of the pages and find problems. For two hours. It's very boring and tedious especially since I've seen them all before and built many.
But, guess who will be correcting most of the problems that were found? Moi! Yep, it's a whole team of people who were totally focused on my continued employment. Ya gotta love that.

ljtourist turned me on to yuca chips. He pronounced it YOU-ka and described them to me before I ever saw the bag so while I caught his enthusiasm, I was lost as to really what he was saying. Then we found the back and I see he's saying what I would have pronounced YUCK-a. And, I would never have touched them.
Heck tofu sounds so much like toe jam that I avoided it for years. Then I figured out what it was and now I avoid it because of it's name, lack of flavor, consistency and some because it's good for you. (If you deep fry it, I'll reconsider.)
And so it would have been with Yuckka had he not acted like it was crunch gold. So I bought a bag. Two in fact - two different brands.
And I am SOLD! They are delicious! Wonderfully crunchy with the cutest little flavor. I like chips with my lunch sandwich and these are perfect. (And,ljtourist I'm eating the ones that you said where disappointing. I haven't even tried the good ones yet!)
And I started to say that while delicious, they are not addictive. But, that would have been wrong. I just had to seal the bag and put it back into the kitchen to keep from eating the whole damn thing.

I did not sleep well last night. Ok but not like my usual rock. I finally figured out this morning when I woke up, that I was cold!! Heaven! In the Africa hot part of summer, I use a duvet cover that is made of sheeting and no duvet - so it's essentially, two sheets sewn together. This morning, I put it away and got out my light weight quilt. It's a glorious milestone.
