susandennisWork is coming in spurts. When it come the spurts are big and tedious but there are also long pauses between spurts. Like this whole morning. So, what did I do? Tackled a very tedious non-work issue.
I recently switched from my Creative Zen player to a Sansa Clip Plus and I am very pleased. It's easier to use and way way smaller and more nicely behaved when it plays with computers.

faecat taught me about ID3 tags, the whole process of ripping, moving and listening to books has gotten easier. The Sansa Clip also knows the difference between book mp3's and music mp3's which is nice. Now my only issue is playing order. To play the book tracks in order, I have to create a playlist. I should be able to name the files in such a way that this isn't necessary but I'll be fucked if I can figure out how. They have pretty good forums and apparently this problem is solvable, just not by me. Not today. I finally gave up. Playlist works fine.
But I killed a long time getting there.
Then tedious work came in. And now the day is nearly shot.
Tomorrow is Tom the Chef day and tomorrow afternoon is my company's summer picnic. The Christmas party was shot by snow. The Summer party was fried out by 100 degree heat. Now we are trying for a post Labor Day hopefully it won't be too hot or snow out in the park barbecue. I could skip it but I think I won't. I haven't seen the boss in a long time and he needs to see me just to remember how lucky he is to have me on his payroll.
