susandennis...buying an Acer Aspire Timeline AS3810TZ-4880 13.3-Inch Laptop. While I love the Eeepc 900HD, I can't live with XP home. I think I can stuff Windows7 onto it bit I'm worried about performance. (The performance on xp home isn't that great.)
This Acer will handle Windows 7, has a bigger (but not too bigger) screen, and is still light weight. Has a more powerful processor and twice the memory.
I've been scouring the interwebs for review con lists. So far the biggest is no optical drive and I do not want an optical drive. I rarely need it and don't want the added bulk I have a nice external drive for when I need a CD or DVD.
