Some survived better than others

susandennisI was 16 in 1965. Folk music fed my pathetic teenaged soul. Other music was around but folk music was big and I was addicted. There were lots of singers and folk music makers but they all were holding places until the next Joan Baez song came on
I just spent a wonderful hour watching an American Masters show about her. She has grown into the most beautiful woman. I mean that really almost more cosmetically than any other way. Her face and skin and hair have just matured into a grace and beauty that are amazing to look at.
But the rest of her has done pretty well, too. There were lots of interviews with the folk famous and much of it was her telling her own story. Mesmerizing.

Tomorrow I have to be on the Microsoft campus from 3-5. The 3 ain't so bad, but driving on that road to get home at 5? I think not. Happily, the party (it's a thank you for working on the site launch party) is in a building very close to the bus stop so I checked the schedule - holy crap, they have those buses running every 15 minutes now. Thank you!
I haven't been on campus in a long time and I've never been to the buildings where the party is. Should be interesting - especially on Windows 7 Eve.
