More just stuff

susandennisMy Plan A Saturday adventure is postponed until next week. The wonderful ham folks won't have any ham at the farmers market until next week so no reason to go. I certainly do not need any more tasteless $7.50 tomatoes!
I think, instead, I'll just take the light rail up to Beacon Hill (library and grocery) and maybe walk home from there or just take a Beacon Hill walk and take the light rail home and check out the new Daiso store.
On Sunday, my friend Arlene is coming to town for us to go pig out on shell fish. She has decided that she wants to come later in the afternoon, which is fine, and leaves me with a rare Sunday morning with no plans. I could go to brunch as usual but that's two pricey meals in one day and I think one is enough. I could go to stretch class but I probably won't. Maybe I'll do the stretch video that I have on TiVo and then make my own breakfast for a change.
Several years ago, someone put up a magazine exchange rack in the garage. It's very wonderful. It's like having a doctors office without the waiting, appointment making, etc and but with all the mags you want. About three years ago, I was taking some books to Goodwill and noticed a big plastic bin that someone was tossing out so I snagged it and put my books in it and made a sign saying 'take one/leave one'. The concept caught on fast.
Snap to today, Scott, the building manager built a shelf next to the magazine rack! No longer do you have to bend down and root around to see what's in the book bin! It's really very cool and I told him so.
We are having a bout of my second favorite weather. Cloudy and cool and wonderful. My first favorite weather is snow but I think, after last year's bonanza, we won't see any of that this year so I'm just planning on being happy with what I got and I am.
