As usual, I woke up early and have been surfing and playing computer games and listening to NPR. It's my favorite way to greet Saturday morning. And it's the kind of break I need. Plus, Travis is enjoying it, too.

I've been feeling a whole lotta stress about my job and there is really no reason for it. I'm ready for a change and open to a change and change is certainly probable. There is a good chance, that I will pick up different work for my current boss but if not, there is tons of opportunity around. I belong to a mailing list of about a bazillion web people in Seattle and lately the 'job offered' entries have been frequent and numerous. Plus I have a very healthy rainy day fund. I could even retire if I really wanted to. I am in the best possible place, job wise I could possibly be and still I feel such anxiety about what will happen. It's really not reasonable.

A weekend break is probably just what I need.

Today's plan is to get up out of this bed - sorry, Travis - and get dressed and go hop on a bus to the University District Farmer's Market to get my ham. Then on to breakfast. Then a brisk walk to walk it off and when I can't stand that, I'll get the bus back home.

It's freakishly warm out but, fortunately, not sunny. I think it's time to go...
