The saga continues

So tonight I get a tracking number for the Tivo that the Tivo lady said she canceled yesterday.  Guess my definition of canceled order and hers is a little different.  Now I have to go through the whole package refusal deal with the building manager again.  He's very nice about it but I feel like an idiot.

I did call UPS to see if I could get them to intercept it and got a really really nice woman who said that they could not turn a package around mid-journey.   But, she offered that unless I signed for it myself, I can always declare it refused.  I said 'you mean even if the building manager signs on my behalf?'  She said 'sure!  Just mark it refused and the driver will come get it.' 

So it's not terrible but it does mean my credit card is going to look like I spilled Tivo all over it by the time they get the charges and credits on there.  And, I'll have to track it all to make sure they get it done. 

It's not a big deal or at least it doesn't seem so tonight - might be because it's Friday night and I'm just feeling particularly chipper. 

Then I went to my Big Box O' Stuff I May Need Some Day to see if I still had an A/B switch box for RF cables in case I needed it and maybe a power strip and a splitter... 

I found 3 switch boxes - one A/B toggle, one A/B/C toggle and one A/B with a freakin' remote!  I found no less than 4 splitters - 2 2 way and one 3 way and one 4 way, and... a power strip.  I think maybe I keep too much stuff??!!

Your "Big Box O' Stuff I May Need Some Day" sounds really familiar. I'm fairly sure I have most of those switch boxes (and several yards of cable) around here, if my wife hasn't chucked them somewhere. Wow.

I'm thinking about renaming the box My Local Radio Shack. The sad part is that there is probably an equal amount and variety of similar stuff around here in places I could not find if it radio'd in to me!
