CBS Sunday Morning

CBS Sunday Morning is one of my treats. It's like my subscription to People Magazine.  I've watched it for years.  I was thinking this morning as I watched that CBS Sunday Morning was one of the first shows I ever recorded.  Way back in 1979 when I got my first VCR - a lovely number - betamax with a remote control!  Not a wireless remote control - watch out don't trip on the remote cord!! - but a remote control.

This morning I learned about a New Zealand singer I'd never heard of, a mystery writer I'd forgotten about and meant to check out, and Central Park.  It's just a nice show.

Visual NPR is PERFECT!!!

I remember those top loading VCRs... Something very satisfying about sliding that sucker in AND getting to mash down on it, too.

Yes, I'm glad you got gooshie. You need to remember that you have a responsibility. You may write a boring entry but you MUST write an entry. You know, I do know where you live... I could come track you down. Don't make me do it. Phoenix is WAY too hot for me!

I used to have a routine that always started with Sunday Morning, coffee and an omelette. Sadly, DirectTV wants to charge me 7 bucks a month and an antenna doesn't work because of all the trees. I refuse to give those bloodsuckers that 7 bucks on pure principle. (Hey, I don't have that many so the few I do have, I hold dearly). Coffee and an omelette just aren't the same to a rerun of Trading Spaces.

The only things I watched were 60 min, Sunday Morning and sometimes Nova and I miss them oh so much. Since your post, I'm reconsidering my principle.

It is hot here, but air conditioners are 3 ton units and power bills are in the $150.00 per month range. Lots of cooling power!
I enjoy your journal a lot and I don't think it's easy to do everyday. LiveJournal should be paying you.
