I'm so proud of me

I now have one TV with two Tivos and one DVD/VCR combo unit all working!!!!!   Yahooo!!!!!!  All my recorded shows are safe and saved and the new unit is now working to figure me out.   My scheme to make it all work turned out to be overly complicated.  I still have all the guts out on the card table.  I may need to tweak and I'm now tired and dirty.  There's always tomorrow.

Next step is to train my fingers what to punch to get what. 

But, for now, I'm a happy camper.

how to get a tivo to write to external storage (like, maybe, a disk array)? this is the killer app for me ... i could back up the array with the rest of my stuff.

Write to external storage? I'm pretty sure there are a couple of units that write to DVD's... I'm not a keeper. I watch and delete.
