After much fucking around, I finally got it to work only to discover that it has built in delays that make even a simple channel change very painful. Straw, camel, broken back. Send me and RMA number, thank you very much.
My old fashioned Sony VL 900 will just have to learn a new device. It doesn't like to learn new stuff but tough shit. That's just the way it's going to have to be. I have spoken.

When your complaint turns out to be one of the top 4 FAQ's and the answer is 'that's by design' - you know you are fucked.
Your av-3000's are safe from the box hiding.
