Ok, so here's how you make the whole medallion thing work. First your financial advisor's assistant calls their branch of Washington Mutual and reviews how much business they do with them. Then the branch manager volunteers to do the medallion thing.

But, it doesn't end there. Then the assistant gets the financial advisor's car and picks me up and takes me to the bank and we do the medallion thing which, of course, takes 5 mins - including the wait time. And then he takes me back to work.

Did I mention the assistant is about 25 and cute? Did I mention as an incentive to make the whole thing more fun, my financial adviser said 'take my car, why don't you'?

When I worked at the bank medallion signatures were always a pain in the behind, because our branch manager was always in and out, so it was hard to tell customers when they could catch her sitting still long enough to do it. Once they managed to get together with her it took no time at all, it was just hard to pin down a time to tell them she would be there.
