Jul. 30th, 2004 07:24 pmWell, my brother is in Charleston. He called Mom at the hospital and learned that
So, as I mentioned this morning, she's not nearly dead yet. She thinks she'll be in there at least until Wednesday. She told me that this morning and I was surprised to hear that she was fine with that news. Every other time she's been in the hospital in recent years she bitched about when she could get out from the minute she got in. I think this time she just feels safer there - she doesn't have to worry about having a stroke or heart attack or something while she's by herself.
- She spent the evening watching her heart throb Andy Roddick win his match
- Her nurse is from Austin, where Andy is from (this is, apparently, major)
- She's moving to a private room tonight
- She didn't have time to talk more because another match was starting and the hospital TV doesn't have Tivo
Bill (brother) and his wife will go over tomorrow and do a little on-site investigation but it all seems fine. A little oxygen works wonders.
