I apologize...
Feb. 1st, 2010 12:09 pmTo all the people driving on the roads for the past, oh, probably 3 or 4 years at least. I could not see. And I did not know it.
And to all the people who read this journal. I'm afraid the next several days are going to continue the theme of I CAN SEE!!!
Seriously, the state needs to revisit how they test vision for driver's licenses and not let people like me behind the wheel. I thought I could see but today, with no contacts, I learned that, in fact, I cannot. I was really distracted by being able to read street signs and advertising billboards! Wild.
150% successful road trip. Thanks to GPS for not getting me lost. I found exactly what I needed in Ikea and not even too much more and got out of the door for $35. Then I remembered Popeye's chicken!! It's 1 mile from Ikea so I went over there and, since it's next to Walmart, dipped into Walmart and picked up a few things on my list (bread and frozen fries) and then got chicken and biscuits and came home. I have chicken for lunch and I bought some for dinner, too!
I'm one seriously happy camper.
Oh and I just read that Molly Wood is going to be a regular again on Buzz Out Loud. Hal. E. Loo. Ya. (This is a web tech show on CNET.TV that I download to TiVo and watch every week day. Molly applies some needed estrogen and I'm way tired of the guys who have been occupying her spot.)
