More Mom Crap

Well, my brother is running out of patience, I think. He sent a note this morning that Trey was on her way. I got a note just now that Trey is on her way back. Apparently Mom's doctor stopped in and didn't like some stuff from last night - heart beat stuff. He's off to find her cardiologist. Also, it turns out, they have not even tried taking Mom off oxygen yet. And since she told me yesterday that she has trouble breathing with the oxygen, taking her off of it could be a little bit of an issue, maybe?

Bill talked to Mom who doesn't know what's going on. The hospital discharge person is the one who called Trey and got her about an hour and a half into her trip. The person who's job it is to act as liaison between the retirement place where Mom lives and the hospital can't find out anything. Bill has been trying to get the doctor to call him for two days now and he's getting very annoyed at not getting a response of any kind.

I don't know what/if Polly knows anything and I don't want to upset the apple cart by asking any unnecessary questions. I think I'll send Polly a 'let me know if I need to do something' email tonight...

Doctor's can be so damn frustrating! GRRRR! M totally sympathizes with your brother.

Sending positive thoughts/energy your Mom's way...and to Seattle too, of course!

Thanks... Mom's doctor is great. I'm sure he has a great reason for not returning my brother's calls. Probably just waiting until he knows for sure what's going on. The cardiologist he has to check with is a Known Asshole so I'm guessing that he's trying to get info from him and decide what to do before telling anybody anything.

Thanks so much. In this case, however, the advocate doesn't know squat. It's all the doctor (who is great but, apparently, holding off on contacting my brother for some reason and I'm sure it's a very valid reason) and the cardiologist (who is an asshole). The advocate has conveyed everything she's been able to find out. I think a lot of Bill's frustration has more to do with the miscommunications earlier in the week.
