Floating down Denial River

So this morning Mom's email says that when Dana leaves, she might move into the area where she can get a little nursing care for a few days. Oh and that Dana is only staying because of the storm....

The social worker at 'The Home' just called and outside of the fact that she talks too much, she is with the right program - they know what's best for Mom and we're behind them. She said that the room they were moving Mom into - at least for now - is a room that has cable TV and a couch in addition to a bed and other stuff she needs. She wanted to make sure we were ok with what they were doing and I assured her we were.

I also told her that my sister would be there next week and that she could cause some stress with the staff - that she was high maintenance on her good days and really really annoying and destructive on her bad ones. Anne, the social worker, picked up on that immediately and said she could handle it and appreciated the warning.

So I think all is fine...
