And the house cleaning saga continues...

Last week I got a note from Miko saying he was going to really go at his computer tutorial business full time and did I know anyone who needed his services. (Honestly, I'm not too sure of his computer skills with some of the questions he's asked me in the past and his website is kind of frightening from a technical point of view.) And, he said further, that I was NOT to recommend his cleaning services to anyone else since he did not have time for any more clients. Plus, could he come on Saturdays from now on.

I sent him a note back wishing him luck with his new venture, assuring him I would not tell anyone of his housecleaning skills and letting him know that Saturdays would not work, sorry. He wrote back and said he didn't mean Saturdays for my cleaning but Saturdays for new people. wtf but ok.

Then last night, I get this:

Susan,

I’m leaving to become cook for a resort in the US Virgin Islands. That sucks, doesn’t it? I’m really disappointed about it.

Well anyway, you’re cool…

I’m going to put your keys, in envelope, in the mail, in the next couple of days.

Nice meeting you and those AWESOME KITTIES. I love your kitties!

I'm not all that broken up about it. He did some things really really well but he was kind of creepy and he didn't empty the trash. I notice his website is still up and still strange. So maybe he just wanted to ditch me. Whatever.

So the hunt starts up again...

This might sound paranoid, and maybe it is, but have you thought about changing your locks? Or, if you have a security system, your passcode? It just sounds a little off-the-wall "...Virgin Islands."

Yep, that sounds paranoid. I have too much stuff anyway. If he wants to come back and haul some of it away, I'd probably be grateful. I'll bet he really does have some island gig, tho...
