Houston, we may have a problem...

There's a new neighbor on the hall... She dropped in tonight to introduce herself and had a hard time leaving. Three times she stood in my living room, with me standing there, too (we weren't sitting and chatting, in other words) and answered her telephone - clearly having no idea who was calling.

I finally got rid of her only to have her come back 5 minutes later to bring her cat. Some kind of fancy schamcy thing that she had described as tiny but turned out to be the size of Betty which kind of amused me.

She told me she was a computer geek and she lives here with her finance who is an architect. She did not say Yuck when she saw my house but she did spend a long time telling me how they plan on decorating - black with red accent walls. She was fairly decked out with tats and chains and long jeweled nails and pink hair and boots. She said Comcast stood her up so they have no internet. When I invited her to use my free wifi, she told me that it was not broadcast nor was the one down the hall that I used a couple of weeks ago.

Then she took another call and I started feeding the cats and finally she left. Again.

I hate the idea of having to shut my door but I sure do not want her as my new bff.
