Hot and tired but home and happy
Jun. 12th, 2010 03:05 pmThis morning, I got up and shower and got dressed in presentable clothes and went to the bus and went to work... just like normal people do! It was weird but fine. The bus trip was lovely and it was still pretty cool when I got there. It's a rather longish walk to the offices once I get off the bus and my laptop weighs about 4 tons.
Work turned out to be very very pleasant. This team is made up of some very nice women - and no men which is odd but fine. We got a whole lot done. Turns out the project manager was taking my same bus back so we walked together to the bus stop and had a nice visit on the way back to Seattle. She's very very good at what she does and I was interested to hear more about her as a person. I'd guess she's about maybe 30ish. And from Brazil. She's lived here in the states and in Seattle for about 6 years, married with a dog and is a former journalist. Interesting stuff.
She got off in the heart of town and I rode a couple of more stops and then got off and stopped in at a dug store and then a sandwich place and then home.
Current plans call for putting feet up for a bit and then getting out the air conditioner and setting that up for the Summer. I don't really need it today but I want to make sure it's running fine in time to do something about it if it's not.
