I need the Perez of Podcast Gossip

susandennisSo... Cali Lewis is the nearly insufferably perky reporter of gadgets news who, with her husband, for the past 5 years has produced Geek Brief TV. They do 3-5 minute episodes several times a week. Cali is a living, breathing geek wet dream. She's a little much for me lots of times but the voyeur in me can't quit her.
At the beginning of the year she and her husband (Neal Cambell) - who is mainly behind the scenes but well known for his uber Republican ways - split. They continued to produce the show although, clearly, there was mega tension. I don't read his blog often but do check in now and again when I feel a change in the wind.
This weekend, Cali announced all over - her blog, her twitter - that Geek Brief was no more. Neal, her husband, went WTF?
She then turned up on Revision 3 and he went back to church.
I know there must be some giant juice behind all of this. Half of me wants to know every detail. The other half is content to speculate. But, it does point out that the video podcast industry needs a watch dog. We need an Entertainment Tonight, a People mag. We need the inside scoop.
On the other hand, I'm glad to see Revision 3 picking up new stuff. I was worried when they dropped some shows and didn't pick up others for a while... Revision 3, CNET TV and TWIT TV are my staples. Wonder what will happen to Mevio (which did Geed Brief) or if, as Neal's blog says, it will live on sans Cali.
