I walked all through downtown this afternoon on the way home from work. I walked and walked and stopped and the library and walked home from there. I saw more than a few out-of-town looking people with Red Sox paraphernalia on. I gave each and every one of them a giant 'Welcome to Seattle' smile. I should have apologized for last night's game but I didn't the best I could muster was hiding my smirk.

Jake and Betty are having a disagreement about something in the hallway. I don't know who started it or who's fault it is but it's been going on long enough now that I'm sure the vacume cleaner will be called for duty.

Lately, whenever Betty is on the pillow at the end of the couch, and Jake sees her, he goes over and bites her on the back until she moves and the he settles in on the pillow.

They are now in the living room on either side of the coffee table stalking each other.

I finally got the final Discover bill from the card I canceled 6 weeks ago. Tomorrow morning is Reconcile Discover Accounts Day here at chez SusanDennis. It only took about a dozen phone calls to get the damn thing.

I finished an interesting book today - James Marcus was employee number 55 at Amazon and he wrote about his 5 years there in a book called Amazonian. It was a really good read.

I ordered my new camera from PricesRite.Com - it's a barebones site that I'd never done business with before. Their price was good and they offered UPS (as opposed to FedEx) shipping and I could use my Discover card so I ordered. I love a tracking number and order status details. This place turns out to offer both. I got emails when I ordered, when they shipped and when they got the tracking number. I am pretty impressed. In the last email they offered me $20 off my next $100 order from their website if I fill out their survey and give them a 5 star rating. However, the email had no instructions on where to find the survey. They didn't even have the URL of their site in the email. It's the little things.

Tomorrow there is a big college football game in the football stadium in the afternoon and a Mariners game in the baseball stadium - both sold out. This neighborhood will be action central.

Tonight, I have General Tso's chicken from my friendly deli for dinner.

We Are Everywhere. (Too bad we hadn't "met" you in 2002 when [livejournal.com profile] jwg and I were among those people.)

No need. I'm not doing any apologizing for Friday night.
