Sunday Sunday
Sep. 12th, 2004 09:51 amToday is the first day of Walking Season! I declare it officially open. It's not as cool as I'd like it yet, but it's definitely cool enough to resume my weekend walks. It's overcast and we've had rain so there were some good puddle pix to be had. Next weekend I'll have my new camera. I'm thinking about maybe using it on my walks since it is so tiny and uses the same card as the Treo so I can just pop it out of the camera into the phone and send.
I finished another afghan last night and started a new one. The new one is a pattern that I've not done before. And using my favorite soft yarn. I need to conjure on what to do with them now. My old contact at the AIDS hospice is gone and it would be a good time to change if I want to. I know there's an organization called Christmas Faeries that gathers and wraps Christmas presents for AIDS patients and maybe I'll track them down and see if they are interested. I only have two completed, so there's no huge hurry.
I need to get the laundry started, snap the new blanket and update the knitting page and get the dirty dishes out of the sink into the dishwasher. The baseball game is at 1.

Date: 2004-09-12 11:04 am (UTC)It's so nice of you to make afghans and then give them away. I have such a huge, needy family I'm sure all of mine would be snapped up immediately. My family = my charity. But I do love to crochet. I made a baby blanket for my grandson. My mother was really skilled: she made tablecloths, doilies, curtains, you-name-it. I inherited her supplies.

Date: 2004-09-12 01:37 pm (UTC)My walking season has started, too. Not that I haven't been walking all summer, but this feels different. Now it's a matter of looking after myself.
