Today's nibbles

I actually did get a call back from a manager at Federal Express! New new personal friend, Vicki. Vicki actually manages Vernon who is the Driver Who Cannot Deliver. I explained that I wanted to lodge a general complaint - that I was tired of calling every time I had a delivery problem which was - she noted from my file - a fair number of times. Vicki said she would have a chit chat with Vernon and see if she couldn't help him overcome his delivery issues.

She was actually very nice and a good listener. I had good G2 from the building manager so I knew what the skippy was... We have three FedEx drivers - Ground, Express and Home. Our Ground guy is excellent. Our Express guy is Vernon and our Home guy is apparently worse than Vernon. So I explained that the FedEx Ground guy had cracked the code and was able to deliver anything and everything every time. So does UPS, DHL and Airborne. USPC does, too but they don't count cause they have a key to get into the building.

She said that she would get Vernon to talk to the UPS guy and see how he managed his deliveries. I said 'or he could talk to Greg at FedEx Ground. To which she replied, I'm sure the UPS guy will be happy to share his info.

????? Ohhhhhkay.

She made me take her direct phone number and promise to call her if I had any more problems. Karen, my officemate, got a major chuckle out of at least my side of the conversation.

I did get my package yesterday. But I am going to be very careful about ordering from places where the only shipping option is FedEx.

Mom continues to be good - at least that was the info this morning. She got to go back to her real doctor today. He would not come see her when she was in the nursing wing (for some very good reasons) and she really missed him. She has such confidence in what he says that, honestly, it almost doesn't matter if he's right. She believes he is with all her soul and that makes it work.

I am having severe web page connectivity issues. And, you know, when you do web pages for a living connectivity issues can really bite you in the butt. But, I just learned from the pair across the hall that I am awesome so that makes everything fine.

There's no Mariner game tonight so maybe I'll finally get a enough calendar clearance to watch LAX. I have already deleted two of my Tivo Season Passes created for new shows this year. Listen Up and Second Time Around will not be listened to or get a second chance. They are gone. I suspect LAX will be next.
