Better - at least so far

susandennisThings seem to have turned the corner and today seems much better. Of course, it's only 7:15 a.m. but still, I'm hopeful.
Mom is fine. She's off to get her nails done today. Her manicurist works in a place that has 4 steps. The steps are kind of steep so yesterday afternoon Mom snagged the physical therapist so they could practice steps. They apparently worked for a while and Mom says he was really into the project and when they were done he said 'well, I hope your doctor visit goes really well but I am surprised they don't have an access without steps at a doctor's office'... Mom says that when she told him that the hard work was for a manicure, 'he got the funniest look on his face'.
The next thing on her worry list, now, it seems is paint color. She said they are going to paint her new room and she does not want them to do that without her input. That should be interesting.
My brother sent me a link to a motel kind of semi nearby. He's thinking that I'm going to need a place to stay at Thanksgiving and I hadn't even thought about that yet, but he is right. What I had thought about was a computer. Using Mom's which is what I've done in the past, isn't going to be a good option. I don't want to lug a 6 lb laptop plus I don't have one.

fj posted a picture of his office and on his desk was a little sub notebook... Yo, fj, what's the skippy on that little thing? It looks just like what I need.
I have been at work an hour and no shit has hit the fan yet. I'm declaring victory. At least until someone else shows up.
Now I'd better get to work.
