My electrical scare du jour

susandennisI just went out to the good sushi place go grab lunch and on the way back grabbed the mail. There was another letter from Seattle City Light about another 10 hour electrical interruption next Thursday starting at 8.
Fuckity fuck fuck fuck - how can they do that on a school day??? And one of my work days??? I only need outlets really. I can internet off my phone if I need to. But, wifi would be handy. Comfortable would be very handy. The gym did not get cut off last time... maybe Tija would let me have a corner for the day. This is such an inconvenient bitch.
Then I read it again... 10 hours starting at 8 p.m. Had I read it that way the first time. I would have been really annoyed. Now I'm so grateful that it's not in the daytime!

I had a morning full of work which was quite nice. The afternoon promises to be a big slow but that could change.

This morning I discovered that my internet connection was s l o w. Rebooting various things revealed it was not the modem or the router or the pc... So I tweeted. "my comcast connection seems to hate the fog... rebooted modem, router, computer... still dragging it's feet. need a cup o' joe there, dude" Within minutes, I had a tweet from a comcast guy. I gave him my phone number and he fixed me right up. I love that so much. I know people bitch right and left and up and down about Comcast but I got zero gripes. I pay what I consider a fair price for good service and I get it. Nice.
