susandennisJust before 6 p.m. Kyle from Comcast called to say that just after we hung up before, they got an avalanche of calls from my neighborhood and so the troops came out and found the problem and fixed it. He even gave me details of the problem that totally matched what I saw here.
Since I spend so much time working via VPN, I know instantly when I lose access and/or enough packets. I guess my neighbors got home and tried to log on.
Then he went on to give me his phone number and work hours and invited me, a couple of times, to call him if the problem happens again. Amazing and very very cool. It was an ugly day but I am, once again, a happy Comcast customer. Kind of amazing.
Computers are happy, TiVo is happy, webcam is happy, and, most importantly of all, I am happy.

Our CBS affiliate is KIRO pronounced exactly like Cairo. So when Brian Williams of NBC tells me he's coming to me from KIRO, I think Whaaaaa?

I had Chef Anita's manacotti tonight and it was soo soo soo delicious. And her garlic bread is very garlic and just as delicioius. And I have enough of both for dinner tomorrow. Yum.
